But the activist just told the celebrity news that he's never actually been to the factory where the Kardashian gear is made.
Charles Kernaghan -- the head of the Institute for Global Labor and Human Rights -- called "TMZ Live" today and said because he's been investigating factories in China for years ... he feels comfortable ASSUMING the place is a sweat shop.
I don't know that if that is true or someone's pocket just got filled. But hey at least the Kardashians got some more publicity, something they always want.
