On Tuesday morning (January 24), the “Fight Club” stud was announced as a nominee for his producer work and leading role in this year’s baseball flick “Moneyball”.

In addition, his film “Tree of Life” got an Oscar nod for Best Picture.

After hearing the exciting news this morning, the hot celebrity called into the “Today” show and couldn’t have been happier about “Moneyball” being included in the Oscar running.

"We're ecstatic over here. It means so much considering this film was just dead on the rocks two years ago," he said from Los Angeles. "It took a lot of people to get it to the screen. It's a great honor. I'm really happy."

Although we all knew he would get selected. He gave some serious work last year. He is also getting pretty arrogant. But it's fair when you have what it takes to shine.
